I hate it when people get all bent out of shape when actors take on different roles. Isn't that what actors are supposed to do? I wouldn't expect D.R. to be Harry Potter and only Harry Potter in his career. I say kudos to him for branching out. (well, that and he actually looks pretty hot with his shirt off) :-P
